Mobile payment platform developed by Google for the Android operating system, Android Pay, now available officially in Belgium. This was announced by the company Google, which thus makes this small but important European country in the tenth nation to receive a Android Pay.
As in the other nine countries where the system is already available, Android Pay in Belgium is a platform whose operation is very simple; the system supports where they accept payments, contactless or contactless payments and allows users paying for your purchases using just your Android smartphone.
Through a post published in the blog of Google low the title “Belgium, Meet Android Pay”, the company ensures that more than 85,000 points of sale distributed by all Belgium will accept Android Pay, including large shops as H & M, Media Markt, Carrefour, as well as retailers more small and stores independent, which can be consulted in the website of Android Pay in Belgium.
But the launch of Android Pay in Belgium is not only limited to physical stores of physical retailers, since Google has also been associated with some popular applications to allow users to make the payment using Android Pay directly from their Smartphone application. Some of these applications that are compatible with Android Pay already from the moment of its release are HotelTonight, Deliveroo, Vueling and TransferWise, while others, like Uber, will be compatible “soon”.
As for the Belgian banks that are already compatible with Android Pay, Fintro, BNP Paribas, Hello bank! In the near future are expected to banks such as the CBC, KBC and KBC Brussels also offer compatibility with Google – Android mobile payment system.
