LineageOS continues expansion into more and more devices of your custom ROM which, remember, was created by some of the members of the team who also developed the now defunct project, CyanogenMod.
Latest smartphones in joining the growing list of devices that already run the system LineageOS 14.1, which is based on Android Nougat, include two of the most popular terminals, known and sold on the Android scene, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This support as is available only for those models of smartphone using the Samsung Exynos processors.
Next to these two emblematic terminals, operating system LineageOS 14.1 is also available for a series of models of the South Korean Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 of 9.7-inch tablet, and the Galaxy S III GSM LTESmartphone.
In addition, also some versions of LG G3 have the ability to access the latest version of LineageOS.
If you wish, you can check all the compilations available on the download page of LineageOS. So far you have already registered more than half a million downloads of this custom ROM, being the smarphone OnePlus One device that is receiving the largest number of installations of LineageOS.
With this novelty, we also note that the official web site of LineageOS has been updated, adding information about some changes that the team has performed in the ROM, as the new introduction of the “mode of one hand” that can now be used in phones with navigation buttons on screen by sliding to the right or to the left in the Start button. If LineageOS is used on devices with physical navigation buttons, you can set this mode coming in ‘Settings’ and then ‘Buttons’.
