Coinciding with the great day that Google announced their new smartphones Pixel as well as other devices such as Google Home, Google DayDream or the new Chromecast Ultra 4 K, Motorola has decided to make public a list that announces what its devices can be upgraded to Android 7 Nougat.

Although the number of compatible devices with Google’s new operating system has been reduced on previous occasions, it continues to be good news that Motorola, in the hands of Lenovo, announce to their users if they can or not to upgrade their terminals.

As already had confirmed previously, Motorola / Lenovo will update all the range of terminals Moto Z, including the variants Play, DROID and Force, to the system operating Mobile Android 7 Nougat. The company has also announced that the nexus 6 (manufactured by Motorola) will be upgraded to Nougat, and this while Google already released this update at the beginning of this week.

The complete list of Motorola devices that will receive the upgrade to Android 7 Nougat is as follows:

  • Moto G (4th Gen)
  • Moto G Plus (4th Gen)
  • Moto G Play (4th Gen)
  • Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen)
  • Moto X Style
  • Moto X Play
  • Moto X Force
  • Droid 2 Turbo
  • Droid Maxx 2
  • Moto Z
  • Z Moto Droid
  • Moto Z Force Droid
  • Moto Z Play
  • Moto Z Play Droid
  • Nexus 6

As it can be seen by the previous listing, Motorola will update only devices launched from 2015, although this update will not be immediate and will still be time to make it available to users.

He listed offers two important omissions, the Moto G 2015, that was released mid 2015, and all the line of bike E, including the Moto E3 that was released makes just a couple of months. A genuine outrage and a complete disappointment for their buyers.
