However, with the arrival of the new Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, many wondered if they would finally be able to defeat the 7 Plus iPhone. And now we know the answer.
The last test of speed of the youtuber EverythingApplePro faces Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 Plus to see which of the two terminals is faster when you open applications, light or react to multiple activities.
With lasting approximately 10 minutes, the video seems to point to 7 Plus iPhone is faster than the Galaxy S8 in many situations, such as when you open applications or games.
What is clear is that despite having a slower processor and 3 GB of RAM, 7 Plus iPhone brings a highly optimized operating system that makes us remember that hardware components are not the most important thing in a mobile terminal. On the other hand, the S8 Galaxy, with its 4GB of RAM, and its processor Snapdragon 835 stays very close to the 7 Plus iPhone in most of the activities of the test, but the Apple device seems to move more fluently in all situations.
It must also take into account that details about the resolutions of the devices were not revealed by the Youtuber. El iPhone 7 Plus has a resolution of 1080 p, while the maximum resolution of the Galaxy S8 is QHD + (or 2960 x 1440 pixels).
By default, Galaxy S8 runs with a Full HD + resolution, so it still has more pixels compared to the iPhone 7 Plus, but we feel that the flagship of Samsung was running at a resolution QHD + during the test, which could slow down its performance in some situations, giving you greater advantage to the iPhone.
Whatever the truth about the video, now seems that 7 Plus iPhone is still a super fast terminal that has not yet found any rival at its height when it comes to speed.
