So far, all rumors pointed towards the middle of the month of April, and more specifically, to April 21 as the day that the new S8 Samsung Galaxy would be available at the global level however, a new report says that this release could be a slight delay of a week from April 21 to April 28.
This information has been published by the web site VentureBeat and comes from the popular “filter” Evan Blass, “@evleaks” on Twitter. The news does not indicate why Samsung have decided to delay the launch of the Galaxy S8, but be a correct information, this would enable the company manufacture more units of the phone before its release because in fact, a recent report noted that Samsung may already have more than 12 million units of Galaxy S8 ready for sale.
This delay could also be due to the obvious interest that has the company to make sure that the S8 Galaxy does not present any hardware problem similar to the problem of battery which forced the global withdrawal of Galaxy Note 7 in the fall of 2016.
On the other hand, if it is confirmed this news, another big company in South Korea, LG, could see clearly benefited. The last week during the MWC2017 of Barcelona, the firm presented the new G6 LG which is planning to sell in Korea of the South at the end of this month, and at the beginning of April in the United States and other parts of the world. In fact, any delay in the launch of the Galaxy S8, it only a week, could allow LG sell more units of LG G6, thus hurting the sales of the Samsung device.
Of course that this continues to be a rumor, like so many others, and Samsung has not confirmed officially no release date for the Galaxy S8. At the moment, what we do know, is that Samsung is planning to hold a press event to present the S8 Galaxy in New York in less than a month, on Wednesday, March 29, where it will formally present the phone to the world. It will be at that moment when all doubts are cleared.
