The update to Android 7.1.1 is now available for the Nexus 6

Nexus 6

Almost forgot us, but before those 5 Nexus X, Nexus 6 p and current Google Pixel, we had the Nexus 6 as an interesting phone that has yet to receive the latest delicacies that Android Nougat brings with it. With so many devices and both Android, almost leaving aside to a Nexus 6 which still continues the war in order to have the latest version of the OS for most installed mobile devices on the planet.

Nexus 6 has been in Android 7.0, while the remaining Nexus have gone through those small versions until you reach the 7.1.1. It is in today when it is available Android 7.1.1 version for the owners of a Nexus 6. This update comes both from OTA as from factory images so they can be installed without major problems.

The upgrade by OTA may take more days depending on the region in which you find yourself, something to which we are accustomed when we are waiting for this new firmware so we can download it without major problems and install almost automatically, as they are a few simple keystrokes which must be made to complete the process.

A Nexus 6 manufactured by Motorola which has already passed two years of support, but that Google has been trying to keep it with the latest version of Android Nougat to take him to the 7.1.1. And is that we are talking about a terminal that has the 805 Snapdragon processor and 3 GB of RAM, more than enough to pull with Nougat and a great performance in the end.

What is clear from this delay in updating the Nexus, is that Google is looking through different eyes at his Pixel smartphone which has been able to grab the attention of many users which has been launched, since we are still hoping that at some point we can buy it from our country.

Here is the image of the Nexus 6 factory, and here the OTA.
